Kimo Mezcal  x Huichol People

Challenge

The Huichol (Wixárika) are the last nomadic tribe in North America and have rarely chosen to collaborate with commercial brands. Their artwork is more than craftsmanship—it is an expression of a spiritual worldview that has remained remarkably intact for centuries.

The challenge was to create a collaboration that honored this tradition while introducing a new audience to both Huichol culture and Kimo Sabe Mezcal, building a relationship that respected the values of both worlds.

KIMO SABE

Discover Your Sacred

We created Discover Your Sacred, built around limited-edition Añejo bottles individually hand-beaded by Huichol artisans and blessed by a Huichol shaman.

Rather than treating the work as decoration, the collaboration invited people into a deeper story of craftsmanship, ritual, and meaning — extending into film, photography, exhibitions, and digital art.

Impact

The project brought new attention and economic opportunity to Huichol artisans while showing how a contemporary brand can engage with cultural tradition in a way that feels respectful, meaningful, and alive.
